The 100-Word Issues

The next four issues of Driftwood (collectively referred to as Driftwood No. 10) will be a little different from previous issues. Published quarterly, these 4 issues will each carry a theme, and all of the work within the issue - poetry and prose - will be of exactly 100 words. Not a word more or a word less (excluding title).

The themes for the next four issues will be:

Winter 2009/2010 Issue - Earth (PUBLISHED)

Spring 2010 Issue - Air

Summer 2010 Issue - Fire

Fall 2010 Issue - Water

Only 20 works will be selected for each issue. Each issue will be edited by a Guest Editor. Payment will be 2 copies of the issue and the opportunity to purchase additional copies at half price.

TO SUBMIT

Submit ONLY ONE piece of poetry or prose. Your work must relate to the theme in some way. Your work must be of exactly 100 words - not a word more or a word less (excluding title).

Submit ONLY for the Spring "Air" Issue at this time. Submissions for later issues received now will be deleted un-opened.

Submission period for the Spring 2010 "Air" Issue is

January 1 through February 28, 2010.

Your submission must be via email to george@ludingtonwriters.com

and be sent as an MS Word attachment. We do not accept .docx files!!!! DO NOT paste your submission into the text of the email. All submissions must be in the following format - one page only, no cover pages. Use "Normal" view please!! Use default setting for format, flush left (no centering) 12 pt. New Times Roman ONLY. Your name, address, phone number, and email address must appear in the upper left hand corner of the page with your work. Do not put your name at the bottom of the page, or following your text.

Submissions which do not meet the above guidelines will not be considered.

You must be a Michigan-based writer.
