Summer Writer-in-Residence Patricia Clark

Patricia Clark is Poet-in-Residence and Professor in the Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University. Author of three volumes of poetry, Patricia*s newest book is She Walks into the Sea; Patricia's work has been featured on Poetry Daily and Verse Daily and her poems have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, Poetry, Slate, Stand, The Gettysburg Review, and many other literary magazines.

 


WORKSHOP I

Creative Writing - Getting started

Friday morning and Saturday morning -  8:30 to noon - July 9 and 10

This workshop is for those who want to jump-start their creative writing, poetry or prose. Open to all, especially appropriate for inexperienced writers or those wishing to write in an unfamiliar genre. Will include prompts, writing exercises, and commentary.

Workshop strictly limited to 6 participants  -  $40

WORKSHOP II

Intermediate and advanced poetry

Friday morning and Saturday morning -  8:30 to noon - July 16 and 17

This workshop is designed for those with some experience writing poetry. Will focus on re-visioning and analysis of work you bring to the workshop.

Workshop strictly limited to 6 participants  -  $40
